Daawat

Frank A. Fiorello; peace, love, and a loaded gun.

October 10, 2022

We found this place driving by and said we need to try it out one day. Well, that day came. It was a nice fall Sunday and we were ready for lunch.

When we walked in we were greeted by a tank of water with bubbles continuously bubbling, it was as relaxing as it was beautiful. The overall decor and atmosphere was elegant but not too much. It was a very pleasing place to be seated in.

Then we met the owner Arif, (I hope that is the correct spelling,) he was a wonderfully charming fellow and very proud of his establishment. He was confident in the cuisine that they served and we couldn't wait to sample their fare.

My companion, she ordered a sample platter that included tandoori chicken, chicken tikka, chicken & beef shish kabob, and shrimp. This coupled with garlic naan was a fantastic choice to indulge in. I ordered one of our favorites;butter chicken with rice. Daawat's version did not disappoint!

I can't rave enough about this absolutely terrific dining experience. The food, the atmosphere and the service was so fantastic that we have decided that for Indian cuisine Daawat's is going to be in our regular rotation.
