We went to Redsmoke in Greektown on Monroe Street and I'll tell you it's a nice atmosphere. I have to be in greeted and seated quickly or my first impressioon has been tainted. As we waited, it was some time before we were seated. When our server showed up we ordered drinks and an appetizer.
The Cajun fish bites which were amazing and the house sauce we dipped them in was incredible. I ordered the St. Louis spareribs platter with collard greens, she ordered the Texas brisket with Mac N Cheese, Both meals came with corn bread muffin.
We sample all the different sauces they had and the Memphis mud won the day. After slathering my ribs with the Memphis mud barbecue sauce and digging in I will have to say this is one of the best barbecue spots around.
I ordered a Frankenmuth Old Detroit amber ale and loved it. The whole overall experience was a great one and I would highly recommend Red Smoke to anyone that loves barbecue.
